The OC Fair

Found this old post that I never published, so here it is!



We had a fun time at the OC Fair yesterday! Thank goodness we got in on the early-bird special admission price ($2/adult, kids free.) because everything was so expensive! Good thing, also, that Ava did the "Read for a Ride" deal. She read two books and got 3 free carnival rides. Ava's highlight was, of course, the petting zoo! She loved the little baby deer that reminded her of Grandma Penny's pet deer. I loved the Llama that just sat there and posed for pictures. He was hilarious! Elsa's highlight was the pig races. Jared's highlight was winning the biggest prize at the fair at an impossible game on his first throw! He got to carry his gigantic, fluffy manly pride around with him. And I have to say, there was not a guy we passed that didn’t give him a shout-out or a pat on the back over that thing. Unfortunately we had to cut the day short because Ava's eye started to swell up like a baseball and she was saying her head hurt. Poor baby!
