I know, can you even believe I'm about to write this post?! I've joined the ranks of the incredibly lucky! I've been to Paris! My lovely little sister-in-law just graduated from high school and invited me on her senior trip. (Thankfully, my lovely mother-in-law thought it would be alright too.)
We had the greatest girls' trip! It was Beth, Cheri, Kylee and me. We saw the most beautiful and amazing sights and had some of the best food ever. I have to say, I loved the bike tours we did. If you're ever in Paris, look up the Fat Tire Bike Company. Those were probably my two favorite days. Although, I have to say everything about that trip was my favorite! (Especially the incredible hot chocolate!)

I loved biking around Versailles and picnicking at Marie Antionette's favorite picnic site. We had fresh baguettes, cheese and chocolate cake. Mmmmm Mmmmm Mmmmm! I loved seeing the insane palace and learning more about it's history. I loved going to the Louvre and seeing not only the beautiful artwork, but also the incredible building. I loved our little evening cruise on the Seine. I loved seeing the Eiffel Tower at night, especially when it twinkled and sparkled for us. I loved falling asleep in our hotel room with the big old-fashioned window open as live piano music drifted up out of the courtyard. I loved going up the Eiffel Tower, seeing the armory museum and the Musee Rodin.

I loved, loved, loved the bike tour of Giverny, Claude Monet's gardens and home. I loved standing in that garden and imagining him sitting there painting and appreciating the same beauty that I was now appreciating. I loved being able to see his paintings in the live form of a garden. I loved attending mass at Notre Dame. I appreciate all those Christian souls who love God and are trying to serve him. I Loved Loved Loved the Musee d'Orsay. I would've loved to spend several days there admiring the art and learning about artists I'd never studied before.

But most of all, I loved sharing all of these incredible experiences with my sweet Mother-in-law and my two darling Sisters-in-law. I appreciate so much that they would include me in their fun girls' trip. They are so wonderful and I love them! Thank you Cheri for inviting me along, and thank you Beth for making it all possible!

I am soooooo... jealous! I would love to go to Paris......some day.
Whoa! major posting updates. Nanc, wasn't Paris amazing. It really is "magic". One of my favs was the Rodin museum. So peaceful being outside and wandering the grounds. I also used to have a print of the Manet painting you stood by. Love that painting! What a grand grand trip. You lucky girl.
Lucky you! Paris is one of my favorite places ever. I love the I.M. Pei pyramids at the Louvre, and my favorite was the Pompideu Museum (because I love modern art.) So neat! I remember biking around Versailles too, but I'm jealous you got to go to Giverny...couldn't make it my trip but I will someday!
