An Ode to Elsa...
One Year ago tonight we welcomed Elsa into the world! Of course, we welcomed her under an alias to keep the paparazzi away. Elsa Beth Johnson, aka Elise Rebekah, was born at 10:15 pm, weighed in at 8 lbs 3 oz and was a perfect 20 inches long.
We have an an amazing year having this personality in our household! As anyone who has spent much time with Elsa can testify, she is full of personality. And not just any personality.... a really fun one! She's friendly, excited, a great dancer, loves people and parties and is completely fearless!
To add to the appeal, Elsa is incredibly smart! Her vocabulary includes: Hello, Mommy, Daddy, Ava, Grandpa, Nemo, Ariel, BaBa, Birthday and Cheese. Now, the cool thing about this list of words is that it's not just sounds she's learned how to make. She associates them correctly. And, having lived with her perpetually singing sister, she's picked up the Ariel song, "Ahhhh, Ahhhhh, Ahhhhh" and the Sleeping Beauty song, "...the way you did once upon a dream... Ah Ah! Ah Ah! Ah Ah!" The other day I heard her singing the Ariel song and she was actually playing with an Ariel Polly Pocket.
Last but not least, she's beautiful! Forgive a proud mother for bragging about her brilliant baby girl on her birthday.
